Frequently Asked Questions

Generators and Backup Power

That depends on your home’s size, the number of AC units, well pumps, refrigerators, and other essential appliances. We do a free in-home load assessment to ensure your generator is the right size for your family’s needs.

Most installations are completed in 1 to 2 days, depending on site prep, permits, and any additional electrical work. We handle everything from start to finish.

Absolutely. Generac generators can power your entire home or selected essential circuits. We’ll help you decide based on your budget, home size, and needs.

Generac recommends at least once a year, ideally before storm season. Many of our customers choose semi-annual maintenance for extra peace of mind.

MobileLink allows you and us to monitor your generator remotely. You’ll receive alerts, status updates, and maintenance reminders so you’re always ready for a power outage.

Yes. We service all Generac units, even if we didn’t install them. Our factory-trained technicians handle repairs, replacements, and maintenance.

When your home loses utility power, the generator receives an alert from the automatic transfer switch that it is time to provide power to your home. The generator comes on, and you have power in your home. When utility power is restored, the transfer switch sends a message to the generator that its work is done for now. The generator will stop providing power to your home, but will continue to run through a cool-down phase and then turn itself off.
